Apartment and house hunting in your absence - Virtual viewings
You have just learned that the planned employment in Switzerland is to start much earlier than expected, but you will not have the opportunity to enter for housing in the near future. Nevertheless, you urgently need to find a place to stay. Of course, a temporary apartment could be rented. However, this is not the optimal solution for you and you would like to move into the permanent apartment or house – right after your arrival in Switzerland. This is possible and we can support you in this process.
Virtual tours – the procedure
First we make an appointment for a phone call. During this call you tell us what kind of support you need, give us the criterias for the property you prefer, tell us your wishes and priorities. After approval of the tailor-made offer to you, we will immediately start the work. We will exchange proposals for suitable properties and define with you which ones to visit.
Wherever possible (we will ensure in advance that we are allowed to do so) we will make videos of the apartments and houses. In addition to the tour of the property, we will also take a look at the surrounding area and wherever possible we will take pictures and point out important details. This way you will get a good impression and you can apply for an apartment or a house at an early stage and you will not miss any opportunity to find your dream property in time.
Application for a property
Once you have decided on a property (there can be more than one), we will fill out the application form and send it in. In advance, we will send you a list of documents that we also need to send and give you recommendations on how to increase your chances of getting a commitment.
Congratulations: you have been selected as a future tenant
As soon as we receive this expected and hoped-for call or mail, we will contact you and you will confirm again that you really want to rent the property. Then we immediately request the contract and the related documents. If necessary we will make a summary of it. Depending on how much time we have until the start of the rental period, we will send you the documents by post (to get the original signatures) or we will exchange the documents via email. Of course we can also exchange important points by phone.
Handover of the apartment or house
If you are not able to come for the handover in time, we will also take care of this for you. After paying the deposit and first month’s rent and issuing a power of attorney for the handover, we can take over the keys and keep them for you, so that you are flexible to take them over. (Depending on your needs, it is also possible to rent furniture for the first period. We will be happy to provide you with information about this service as well).
